About Christine

Christine Gao joined the Forsyth Barr Auckland team in 2024, having worked in the financial services industry for over 28 years. She works closely with her clients to fully understand their investment needs and priorities, providing investment strategies that help meet their goals. Christine has particular expertise in designing investment portfolios for migrant investors under Immigration policies.

Christine is registered as a financial adviser and accredited as an NZX Adviser. She holds a Master’s Degree of Business Administration, a Graduate Diploma in Business Studies in Personal Financial Planning and a Bachelor Degree of Investment and Finance.

From the age of 16, Christine spent a number of years back‑packing through China. Given the young age Christine started her travel adventures on her own, she was exposed to different local cultures, and most importantly got out of her comfort zone. A myriad of skills learnt from this experience still apply to her working and personal life even today. Christine speaks fluent English, Mandarin and Cantonese.
