Dave Schaper

About Dave

Dave Schaper joined Forsyth Barr in 2006 and works with clients locally and across New Zealand. Prior to this he worked in various corporate finance and analysis roles.  As well as an Investment Adviser, Dave is the Nelson Manager.

Dave is registered as a financial adviser and is accredited as an NZX Adviser.  He has a Bachelor of Science from the University of Canterbury (1995) and a Postgraduate Diploma in Communication from the Queensland University of Technology (1997). He also holds the NZX Diploma.

Outside of work, Dave enjoys mountain biking on the great trails around Nelson and spending time with his young family. He is chair of his children’s primary school and has represented New Zealand in rowing at two Olympic Games. He continues to be involved in sport as a member of the NZOC’s Olympians Commission and as Chair of Sport Tasman.
