About Simon

Simon Gilroy joined Forsyth Barr in 2024, having been involved in the financial services industry for over 20 years. He specialises in the area of Private Wealth Management, advising private individuals, family groups, and not for profit organisations.

Simon is registered as a financial adviser and accredited as an NZX Adviser. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Diploma in Business Studies (endorsed Personal Financial Planning). Simon has been a Trustee of Lifeline Foundation (Canterbury) and Chaired the Investment Advisers and Financial Planners Association (Canterbury - West Coast). He has previously served on a number of sporting organisation committees, including the Christchurch Golf Club and the London NZ Cricket Club.  

Outside of work Simon enjoys spending time with his family and friends. Simon is an active relaxer, enjoying golf, skiing, scuba diving, fishing, and the occasional multisport event.
