Two significant transactions which won top awards at the 2022 INFINZ Awards (Institute of Finance Professionals New Zealand Inc) were advised or arranged by Forsyth Barr, the New Zealand-owned investment and wealth management firm.
The INFINZ Awards recognise innovation and excellence in New Zealand's financial sector and are the leading financial industry awards in New Zealand. They were presented at a Gala Dinner on Thursday 26 May in Auckland.
The Merger & Acquisition Transaction of the Year was Mercury’s acquisition of Tilt Renewables’ New Zealand assets for $797m. Forsyth Barr was Joint Financial Adviser to Mercury.
The New Zealand Debt Market Issue of the Year was Contact Energy’s $225m Green Capital Bond. Forsyth Barr was Joint Arranger and Joint Lead Manager.
