Forsyth Barr is delighted to sponsor one of the 14 kiwis recently released into Pukenui Forest. Our sponsorship covers the release of our kiwi which has been named "Forsyth" along with ongoing protection of Forsyth through the ranger's work, regular monitoring and predator control.
Forsyth the kiwi was released into Pukenui Forest on Saturday 13 February 2021 following a naming ceremony which was co-hosted by Whangarei Intermediate School and Whangarei Primary School.
Briar Burke and Michelle Hynes from the Forsyth Barr Whangarei office joined Rangers, Bevan and Ben, to escort Forsyth the kiwi into the forest for its release.
Forsyth Barr wishes the kiwis a great start at their new home and we look forward to regular updates from the Pukenui Forest Trust on Forsyth the kiwi and the 13 other kiwis released into the area.
