On Friday 6 December, the staff in Forsyth Barr's Hastings and Napier offices spent time supporting A Children’s Christmas Foundation.
The Foundation provides Hawke's Bay children who are living in extreme poverty and hardship with long-lasting, educational Christmas gifts.
This year local businesses, including Forsyth Barr, partnered with the Foundation to help raise over $850,000 worth of gifts and are working together to pack these into 5,700 Santa sacks. Each Santa sack will be given to a Hawke's Bay child and will contain long-lasting gifts including backpacks, books, and stationery as well as sporting equipment. These are all items which enable kids to have a strong start to the school year. In addition to supporting the Foundation, we were delighted to be involved in gift wrapping many of these presents.
As a founding partner, Forsyth Barr is proud to help make a difference to children in our Hawke’s Bay community who might not otherwise receive a gift at Christmas.
