Australia shares likely to open higher; NZ shares up

July 3 (Reuters) - Australian shares were set to open a bit higher on Wednesday, tracking Wall Street gains following Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell's dovish comments that the U.S. is on a "disinflationary path. The local share price index futures rose 0.1%, a 4.8-point premium to the underlying S&P/ASX 200 index <.AXJO> close. The benchmark fell 0.4% on Tuesday. New Zealand's benchmark S&P/NZX 50 index <.NZ50> rose 0.2% by 22:21 GMT.
